Sutton Utd have confirmed the departure of forward Nana Boateng to National League South rivals Maidstone United. The 23-year-old, who joined Sutton two years ago, impressed during a pre-season trial at the Gallagher Stadium and has now secured a permanent move to the Stones.

Boateng, who can operate across the forward line, has signed for Maidstone after catching the eye in pre-season. Stones boss Craig Fagan praised the former Millwall youngster’s attitude, pace, and work ethic, highlighting his performances as the key factor in the move. Boateng came through Millwall’s academy and made his first-team debut in an FA Cup tie against Crystal Palace in 2022. He also had a loan spell with Solihull Moors, where he played at Wembley in the National League play-off final and FA Trophy final.
