George Vorster joins Burgess Hill on loan
George Vorster, 19, left‑footed forward, has joined Burgess Hill on a one‑month loan from Slough. The move, completed on 19 August 2026, will see him return to the club where he spent parts of the 2025‑26 season. Vorster began the 2026‑27 campaign with Slough in the National League South, making a single 20‑minute appearance without starting or scoring. He will return to Slough on 19 September 2026.
Previous spells at Burgess Hill
Vorster’s loan to Burgess Hill is his third spell with the club. He first joined from Sutton United Reserves on 6 August 2025, returned to Sutton on 28 November, then re‑joined Burgess Hill on 3 January 2026 until 31 May. He joined Slough on a free transfer from Sutton United Reserves on 1 July 2026. His youth career also included a loan at Ashford Town.
International background
Born 18 January 2007, Vorster has represented England and South Africa at youth international level. Burgess Hill’s manager said the return of the left‑footed striker will add depth to the squad during the opening weeks of the 2026‑27 season.
