Sutton United scored a stoppage-time equaliser to earn a 1-1 draw at FC Halifax Town. The point keeps them sixth in the National League with 16 points from nine games.
The visitors were seconds away from defeat when a cross from Halifax substitute Gilsenan was flicked on by Bardell and deflected into the Sutton net. The goal was credited to a Sutton player, levelling the score deep into added time. Kelly Gilchrist said: "The visitors equalise at the death."
Sutton had ended a run of three straight defeats with a midweek win over Scunthorpe. Their recent form has been mixed, but this result preserves a useful unbeaten streak on their travels. They now prepare to host Forest Green Rovers on Saturday, 26 September.
