Sutton Utd will participate in the 2026/27 National League Cup, with the club placed in Group D alongside Leicester City, Birmingham City, West Bromwich Albion, Southampton, Boston United, Truro City, and Woking. Chris Agutter’s side aims to improve on last season’s group-stage exit, where they drew 2-2 with West Ham United and lost 4-1 to Southampton.
The U’s face a mix of Category One Academies and National League rivals. Leicester City, Birmingham City, West Bromwich Albion, and Southampton represent the Championship and League One, while Boston United, Truro City, and Woking join Sutton Utd as National League teams.
The National League Cup features 32 teams split into four groups of eight. The top two from each group advance to a knockout stage. All fixtures will be played at the home ground of the National League club, with Sutton Utd retaining gate receipts.
Group-stage matches are scheduled for 18/19 August, 8/9 September, 13/14 October, and 3/4 November 2026. The knockout stage begins in January 2027. Next fixture: vs Tamworth (at home, 2027-02-16) (18th in the table).
